LEATHER CARE
Genuine leather is a natural material, and its character develops beautifully over time. Subtle variations in texture, tone and surface are part of its uniqueness and should not be considered imperfections.
To preserve the beauty of your MIARUNA piece, gently remove dust with a soft, dry cloth and avoid aggressive cleaning products, alcohol or household chemicals. When needed, use only a small amount of a care product specifically designed for genuine leather, testing it first on an inconspicuous area.
With proper care, the leather will gradually develop its own patina — making your piece even more personal with every year you carry it.
PROTECT FROM WATER & MOISTURE
Leather is sensitive to excessive moisture and should be protected from rain, water and prolonged exposure to humid conditions. Avoid placing your MIARUNA piece on wet surfaces or allowing it to become soaked.
If the leather gets wet, gently blot the moisture with a soft, dry cloth and allow the piece to dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use a hairdryer, radiator or other direct heat source, as rapid drying can cause the leather to harden, deform or lose its natural qualities.
Allow the piece to dry completely before using or storing it again.
PROTECT FROM HEAT & SUNLIGHT
Leather is a natural material that can react to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and high temperatures. To preserve its original colour, texture and flexibility, avoid leaving your MIARUNA piece in strong sunlight, near radiators, heaters or other sources of direct heat.
Prolonged heat or sunlight may cause the leather to dry out, fade or change its tone over time. Store your piece in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when it is not in use.
CARE FOR THE EMBROIDERY
The embroidery on each MIARUNA piece is created by hand directly on the leather using high-quality, durable threads designed to maintain their colour and appearance over time.
The embroidered areas do not require special cleaning, but they should be protected from mechanical damage. Avoid pulling or scratching the threads, and keep the embroidery away from sharp objects or rough surfaces that could catch the stitches.
For everyday care, gently remove dust with a clean, soft cloth or brush. With careful handling, the embroidery will preserve its colour, texture and distinctive character for years to come.
Because every stitch is made by hand, slight variations in tension and placement are a natural part of the craftsmanship and make each embroidered piece unique. CLEANING & CONDITIONING
Regular and gentle care will help preserve the natural beauty, softness and character of your MIARUNA piece over time.
For everyday cleaning, remove dust and light surface marks with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaners, alcohol, solvents or household chemicals, as they may affect the leather’s finish and colour.
When the leather begins to feel dry, a suitable conditioner or cream specifically designed for genuine leather may be applied in a small amount. Always test the product first on a discreet area and apply it gently and evenly according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
MIARUNA embroidery is made with durable, colourfast threads. Leather care products suitable for the particular type of leather can therefore be applied carefully over embroidered areas as part of the normal care of the piece. Avoid excessive product build-up between the stitches and gently remove any excess with a soft cloth.
Allow the leather to absorb the product naturally and dry completely at room temperature before using or storing the item. Proper conditioning helps maintain the leather’s flexibility and appearance while allowing its individual patina to develop beautifully over time.
STORAGE
Proper storage helps your MIARUNA piece maintain its shape, structure and natural beauty when it is not in use.
Before storing your bag or accessory, make sure it is clean and completely dry. Place it in the protective dust bag provided with your MIARUNA piece to protect the leather and embroidery from dust, light and accidental scratches.
For bags, gently fill the interior with clean, soft material or acid-free tissue paper to help maintain the original shape. Avoid overfilling or using materials that may transfer colour or moisture to the lining.\
Store your piece in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and excessive humidity. Do not keep leather items for long periods in plastic bags or airtight containers, as natural leather benefits from air circulation.
Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the piece, and store handles and straps in a natural position without sharp bends or unnecessary tension.
